Class A: Guzheng Ensemble 筝乐团
Class length: once a week for 15 weeks
Fall term: January 12 - June 7, 2020
Playing level: All Levels. Minimum of one year playing experience required.
Schedule: Sunday 3:15-4:30
Cost: $600 per course (15 classes)
Textbook Fee: $15
Content: Students will be assigned to different parts in the ensemble according to their levels. Class will teach students to play music in a group setting. Music taught to play here includes well-known traditional and popular songs as well as improvisations. Class emphasizes on team-work, collaboration, creativity and fun.

Class B: Beginning Guzheng for Teens/Adults 古筝初級入门班
Class size: 3 to 5 students
Class length: one hour a week for 15 weeks
January 12 - June 7, 2020
Schedule: Sunday 1-2pm
Cost: $600 per course Textbook Fee: $25
Age requirement: 12 and up
Content: an introductory class to students who want to know the basics of playing the Gu Zheng. The class covers how to read notations, basic rhythm, common playing techniques and fingering of both right and left hand. The end goal is to play two simple songs which contain many common techniques. The difficulties of the two songs are at level one of the Gu Zheng grade exam of The Central Conservatory of China. Course emphasizes on cultivating students’ interests in music and helping them to build a solid foundation for future studies.

Class C: Intermediate Guzheng for Teens/Adults 古筝中級班
Class size: 3 to 4 students
Class length: one hour a week for 15 weeks
January 12 - June 7, 2020

Cost: $675 per course Textbook Fee: $25
Age requirement: 12 and up
